Beef is the largest and most extensive component of our inventory. We source our beef from the "Napa Valley" of beef, a farm and grassland region known for its abundant corn crop and heritage bred cattle. The regions climate is ideal for heritage breeds and the cattle are raised and fed on smaller family farms. We offer a full line of foodservice cuts in U.S.D.A. Select, Choice, and Prime; and our grinding operation produces bulk ground beef and ground beef patties fresh on a daily basis. We produce ground beef patties in bulk for customers like Milo's Hamburgers. All of our portioned controlled products such as steaks and beef patties are packaged as requested by the customer. We vacuum seal beef patties and individually vacuum seal steaks with our state of the art pack packaging equipment.
The Angus and Hereford are both heritage breeds that deliver quality on a consistent basis only when they are not cross bred with lesser quality cattle breeds. We offer premium Angus and Hereford beef programs that are focused on superior genetics, sustainable raising, and proper feeding.
Our premium beef program is Certified Hereford Beef. These cattle have been bred for taste since the 1700’s. This program uses only Hereford and Hereford crossbred cattle, genetically proven to produce better beef. The Hereford cattle are fed a corn ration diet for the last 120 days before slaughter. A study by researchers at Colorado State University showed that Hereford beef was superior in tenderness, flavor, and juiciness when compared to U.S.D.A. lower and upper Choice beef. The Hereford program is U.S.D.A. Certified with all cuts being ¼’’ trim and aged a minimum of 21 days before the customer receives the product. We are proud to offer our customers a beef program that is unmatched in quality and consistency.
