Butch’s favorite cut of meat: Ribeye

What he can’t live without:
Beef

Growing up in the business, J.T. “Butch” Evans learned how to operate a meat company successful in production and distribution.

His father, James T Evans started Southeastern Meats in the early 1960’s, where Butch worked his way up. Butch started as a delivery truck driver, and then progressed to meat cutting. Experience and knowledge in the industry enabled him to continue on this path, next working as a meat salesman, sales manager, and general manager. With this proud accomplishment, Butch started Evans Meats in August of 1998. Since then, he has been using his 39 years of experience to make his company a successful one, and pass this wisdom along to his family, who have followed in his footsteps.
